Week 1: Introduction to Ionic & Web Technologies
Introduction to Ionic and its cross-platform capabilities, Ionic CLI & project structure, choosing Angular vs React for Ionic, understanding Capacitor vs Cordova for modern mobile tooling, and running apps on web, Android, and iOS simulators.
Mini project: "Hello Ionic App" (Angular/React)
Week 2: Ionic Components & UI Toolkit
Learn to use Ionic UI components such as buttons, lists, cards, and inputs. Explore layout with Grid, Flexbox, and responsive utilities, customizing global styles, and working with Modal, Toast, Alert, and Action Sheet components. Routing with Angular Router or React Router will also be covered.
Mini project: "Contacts Manager UI"
Week 3: Ionic with Angular – Core Concepts
Understand Angular essentials like Components, Services, and Modules, along with HttpClient & REST API integration. Learn about Template-driven & Reactive Forms, Angular Lifecycle hooks, and RxJS basics. Angular-specific routing and guards in Ionic will be covered as well.
Project: "Product Inventory App (Ionic + Angular)"
Week 4: Ionic with React – Core Concepts
Get familiar with React essentials for Ionic including JSX, props, state, hooks, and Ionic-specific hooks like useIonViewDidEnter and useIonRouter. Learn about API handling with Axios or Fetch, and React-specific routing with IonReactRouter. Conditional rendering and state lifting will also be discussed.

Week 5: Capacitor & Native Device Integration
Learn the basics of Capacitor, including plugin setup and configuration. Explore using core plugins like Camera, Filesystem, Geolocation, and Toast. Week 7: State Management & Advanced UX
Dive into state management options such as Angular services and React Context. Learn about animations, transitions, infinite scroll, pull-to-refresh, and working with Virtual Scroll for large datasets. Explore accessibility and performance best practices.
Upgrade previous projects with smooth UX
Week 8: Real-Time & Firebase Integration
Explore Firebase Auth (email/password, social login), Firestore integration for real-time sync, Firebase Storage, and push notifications. Learn how to integrate Firebase with Capacitor for building real-time mobile apps.
Project: "Real-Time Messaging App (Ionic + Firebase)"
Capstone Project (Week 9–10): "Ionic Job Tracker"
In this capstone project, you will create a job tracker app with features like Firebase or custom backend authentication, tabs for job list, calendar view, and task timer, camera/file upload using Capacitor, and PWA-enabled for offline use. You will choose between Angular or React for the app and ensure it is fully styled and responsive.
